Evodiamine is a naturally occurring bioactive alkaloid from a plant called Evodia rutaecarpa. It has various kinds of pharmacological activities including anti-tumor, protecting the heart, causing weight loss and anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-senile dementia. Evodiamine, as a natural anti-cancer drug, can inhibit the proliferation of a variety of tumor cells, including cervical cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, T lymphocytic leukemia, prostate cancer and breast cancer.
